Everyday balance
Staying steady.
Balance is a trainable skill that most people stop practicing somewhere in middle age. Stairs, curbs, wet floors, and ground that is not where you expected it to be all ask the same question of the ankle, and the answer gets slower without use.
Start seated at level one. Two or three sessions a week. Move up the scale when the current setting stops feeling like work.
Start seated
Levels one to three are firm enough to work from a chair.
Ten minutes
Short sessions, done regularly, beat long ones done occasionally.
Hold something
A counter or a chair back for the first few weeks is sensible, not a failure.
